El Médol Roman Quarry
It is a huge pit, over 200 m. long, where stone was quarried in Roman times. In the centre of the quarry, there is a column of stone left untouched, known as the "agulla de Mèdol". Stone from the quarry was used to build a number of important edifices in Tarraco.
