There are excellent air connections between the major Spanish cities. The largest airports are Adolfo Suárez Madrid - Barajas and El Prat, in Barcelona, offering the greatest number of daily flights.

The most important airports in the Canary Islands are Gran Canaria, Tenerife Sur and Tenerife Norte, operating services to the principal mainland cities with flight times of less than three hours. In the Balearic Islands, the biggest airport is Palma de Mallorca.
