It is the first and last Spanish beach on the Mediterranean coast, adjoining the beaches of the south of France. It is sheltered between the walls of steep cliffs and surrounded by scrub vegetation. The impressive rocky bottom and the crystal clear water are particularly suited to snorkelling. It is a cove for dropping anchor and scuba-diving. It has impressive views of the small port of Port Bou.
