The paths, tracks and walks that connect the localities on the slopes of the Natural Park of Aralar provide a different viewpoint of one of the most significant mountain areas of Guipuzcoa.
Villages are simple, with three common elements: the cemetary, the church and the pelota court. Their people have always lived with and off the Sierra of Aralar, this GR being most suitable to learn of its experiences, history and vicissitudes around the mountain.
The GR 20 covers 45 Km. on this stretch, which involves 3 stages. In Guipúzcoa the path also includes a variant between Urkillaga and Lizarrusti through Lareo, as well as six Small Routes.Due to its location, it is a meeting point with the following GRs: GR 12, Euskal Herria Path, GR 21, Ignaciana Path, GR 35, Lizarrusti - Aizarna and GR 121, Guipúzcoa Round Trip.
