This is one of the oldest stately houses in Gijón. There are various exhibits on display, such as the Jovellanos family tree and the mantle of the Knights of Alcántara. Items from the original furnishings include two Baroque coffered cabinets, two sets of chairs and a chest all dating from the 18th century. Other features on display in the rooms are a selection of pictures from the museum’s art collection representing the various styles to be found in the personal gallery of Don Gaspar Melchor de Jovellanos.
