The city of Aranjuez in Madrid, whose cultural landscape has been declared a World Heritage site by the UNESCO, has hosted this festival of old music since 1994.

Over a period of almost two months, numerous concerts of old music are held in different venues throughout the city. Most of them take place in the outstanding setting of the Royal Palace in Aranjuez. An added attraction every year is that several days are dedicated to discovering the beautiful gardens of the Royal Palace with a series of guided visits accompanied by concerts.
