A journey through the African continent

This museum provides an insight into African tribal life.

Located in the offices of the Combonian missionaries in Madrid, it offers a veritable journey through Africa. Through maps, visitors can explore prehistoric times, and learn more about the ancient African kingdoms and empires as well as the different languages and peoples who inhabit this continent. The display includes numerous weapons, musical instruments, statues and figures, containers and stools, masks, religious objects, costumes, everyday ornaments, while photographs and engravings help to place the pieces in their appropriate geographical and historical context.
