The Seville Film Festival has been held in the city since 2001, at different projection halls such as the Nervión Plaza Cinema and the Lope de Vega Theatre.
The event is dedicated specifically to contemporary European film. It aims to concentrate on the promotion of European cinematographic culture, through dialogue between the new creators and recognised figures, and to make way for the incorporation of new media for cinematographic expression. At this event, the panel of judges, made up of renowned professionals, award the Gold and Silver Giraldillos and the special judges’ prize.
