Description

An exhibition that, from an artistic point of view, approaches playgrounds and their socialising, transgressive and political potential, from the beginning of the modern age to the present day.

Playgrounds as a ludic and carnivalesque idea of life or as the identification of the need for playing when faced with the obligation to work. The exhibition explores how playgrounds become a driving force for planning and transforming cities, through nearly 300 artworks in different formats (paintings, sculptures, installations, photos, videos, etc.). It features artists such as Goya, Giacometti, Henri Cartier-Bresson and Ensor.
