Description

The Prado Museum is celebrating the 200th anniversary of the birth of the composer Richard Wagner.

14 works inspired by Wagner's last opera, "Parsifal", are exhibited. They are practically unknown works, by Spanish painter Rogelio de Egusquiza, and the set is considered to be one of the most unique and outstanding examples of Symbolism in Spain. Egusquiza's work revolved around the iconography of the German composer's musical creations from 1879, which is when they met in person.
