It is an excellent sand strip belonging to the town of Gijón The neighbourhood of Cimadevilla separates the two big sand strips found in Gijón: Poniente Beach and that of San Lorenzo. This latter one is a big beach, and as it expands the width varies considerably from one end to the other. It is overlooked by the tall buildings of the city of Gijón, but since they are all built in the same style, it makes for a harmonious town and a very pleasant and comfortable beach. For lovers of surf there is an area where you can practise your favourite sport.
