Sorolla, Salas, Picasso and more
Malaga Museum has sections on Fine Arts and Archaeology. Specifically, it has more than 15,000 archaeological and artistic objects.
In the archaeology section there are important items from the Loringiano Museum, and the objects coming from the works in the Alcazaba citadel in Malaga. The permanent collection in the Fine Arts section has objects from San Telmo Fine Arts Academy, Prado Museum and Reina Sofía National Art Museum. The museum also has a collection of local paintings from the 19th century, which includes pieces by artists such as Muñoz Degrain and Enrique Jaraba, along with paintings by Sorolla, Salas and others. Furthermore, you can see two of Picasso's first works: Study of old people and The old man with the blanket.
