The monastery belonged to the Jeronimo order in the 15th century. It was rebuilt in neo-Gothic style that is harmonious with the original structure.
You can now visit various areas of the building: Puerta de los Caballeros, which was generally used as the main entrance; the Gothic cloister, 1430; the 16th-century Fuente del Rey fountain; the pilgrims’ room; the Arcediano sarcophagus and the modern sanctuary built in the mid-20th century.
