Monuments of ancient Arriaca
The church-cathedral of Santa María was built on the site of an old mosque. The last reformation of the temple took place in the 17th century.
Mudejar in style and reformed in the 17th century. The high altar is of great beauty. Inside there are three 14th century naves. The main facade has a portico with Renaissance columns and capitals. The other entrances have horseshoe arches. The tower is masonry covered with brick. Inside there is an interesting alabaster pulpit and also some curious tombs. The arches inside are half moon. The cupola of the transept was built in the 17th century.
