El Camino de Santiago Competition

Congratulations for your inspiring project  Miss Kierinda Stanfield!

We are delighted to announce that the winner of our 2011 competition on el Camino de Santiago for secondary schools is Miss Kierinda Stanfield of Lisnagarvey High School, Lisburn, County Antrim, whom we thank for the hard work she has put into bringing the Spanish language, as well as Spain and, specially, El Camino closer to her pupils.

We would also like to thank all other teachers and centers that have taken part in the competition. We congratulate them all for their inspirational ideas, we have loved to go through them and, given the high standard of the projects presented, we have found it pretty hard to choose the winner.

We are sad to announce, however, that the Primary Schools prize has been withdrawn as no entries for this category have been received.

Kate Whitehouse, winner of the 2010 edition, wrote a great report of her trip on her return from her walk along El Camino Inglés, we would invite you to read it and be inspired by it.

The contributions of the Consejería de Educación de España, Turgalicia, Xacobeo and Confraternity of St. James to make this competition possible are also most appreciated.
