Description

The Valencian Institute of Modern Art (IVAM) retraces the career of Joan Miró, focusing on conflict as a constant element in his work,

from his continuous questioning of artistic and cultural order to the struggle of his characters, caught between reality and depiction. Miró’s work is characterised by conflict, which appears in his work as it becomes more significant, and increases exponentially from 1969 to 1973. At that time, his art expanded into society with works for the general public, such as his posters.
