They already existed in the times of Trajan and Hadrian, in the 2nd century A D. They are located at the foot of La Mesilla hill and are medicinal-type baths. The Roman building is rectangular and in it can be found two vaulted circular chambers. In the centre of the chambers are the pools, also circular. The vaults of the chambers are semi-spherical with skylights in the centre. After several centuries of abandonment, they were restored and the current building was constructed.
