REGISTRATION FOR CONEXION SPAIN VIRTUAL 2013, THE ANNUAL VIRTUAL TRADE SHOW ORGANIZED BY THE TOURIST OFFICE OF SPAIN FOR THE USA AND CANADA MARKETS, OPENS TODAY

The registration for Conexion Spain Virtual, the annual virtual trade show organized by The Tourist Office of Spain in the USA and Canada, opens today. The virtual trade show will take place for two days only, April 10th and 11th . More than 15 trips to Spain will be raffled for those who register!

This year is the third edition of Conexion Spain Virtual, launched for the first time in 2011 but only for the Canadian market. The last edition, the first one to include the USA market, the virtual trade show received more than 5,000 visits, which is an incredible number for the industry’s standards. Among visitors, 60% were from the USA and 40% were from Canada. This year, the Tourist Office of Spain is launching a powerful campaign on the social media and expects to receive even more visitors.

Conexion Spain Virtual is a virtual trade show both for travel professionals and for the general public from the USA and Canada. For the travel professionals, it is a great opportunity to learn about the latest trends and news from Spain directly from those that know them best: the Spain travel professionals; it will help travel agents and tour operators to optimize their time and save costs, because the virtual trade show will allow them to meet at once with more than 40 travel professionals and suppliers from Spain. For the general public, it is the ultimate way to plan a trip to Spain, taking tips and advice directly from travel professionals specialized in Spain, and also they can take advantage of their exclusive offers.

There are more than 40 exhibitors participating, among them Tourism Boards of regions and cities of Spain, Convention Bureaus, Spanish hotels and hotel chains, DMC´s, incoming services and USA tour operators.

Some of the services that Conexion Spain Virtual offers are free downloads (e-brochures, press release, newsletters and other documents), live chat (visitors can interact with exhibitors in real time to resolve doubts and create endless business opportunities), private meetings using the Skype platform, and the possibility to attend live to two Webcast, where Annie Sibonney, conductor of the TV Show “From Spain with love with Annie Sibonney” will share her experiences traveling around Spain with the audience.
