L’Aplec del Caragol (The Snail Meet) is Lleida's gastronomic fiesta par excellence.

For three days, thousands of locals from Lleida, organised into different groups and associations, along with visitors to the town, celebrate this fiesta whose main star is the snail. The event takes place during May in the Campos Elíseos park. More than 200,000 people take part, consuming around 12 tonnes of snails. The fiesta also has music, fireworks and street entertainment.
