It is one of the most charming festivities held in Santiago de Compostela, in Galicia . Numerous cultural and leisure events are scheduled over the course of two weeks, including a major cattle fair.

Concerts, theatre performances, parades and many university students fill the streets during these days. The city is caught up in a wonderful festive atmosphere, and there is also a cattle fair featuring equestrian shows at the Amio trade fair centre. Also very typical are the “pulperías”, stands concentrated mainly in the Caballería de Santa Susana area where the delicious octopus dish “pulpo a feira” can be sampled.
