Animac, the International Animated Film Festival, was founded in 1996 and is held in Lleida.

The festival is one of the highlights of the international animation calendar. Audiences can view the various screenings at different venues around the city, including the Principal Theatre, which is the official festival venue. Parallel activities such as workshops, presentations and alternative shows complete the programme.
