The Canary Islands Ironman Triathlon is held on the island of Lanzarote, and is one of the toughest events on the international circuit.
Athletes from all over the world come to the Canary Islands to take part in this race, involving a 3.8-kilometre swim, 180 kilometres by bike and a 42-kilometre run. Furthermore, this competition also decides 60 places for the Ironman World Championship.
