A Municipality located to the south of the province of Cordoba, in the spurs of the Subbetic Mountains. Surrounded by olive orchards and organic-produce orchards, the city has a stately and tranquil appearance.

Places of interest at Cabra include the Río fountain, the palatial castle, and the Baroque churches of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, from the 17th century, built on the floor-plan of a mosque, and San Juan Bautista, from the 16th thru 18th century. Also worthy of mention are Puerta del Sol, and the numerous ancestral homes that surround it.
