Its beaches and the waters of its spa resort are the main attractions in this town

Arteixo is about 15 kilometres from the city of La Coruña. You could say that this coastal town is a place to have fun with water. On one side are its beaches: small sandy ones like Valcovo and Ucha, or wide, open beaches like Alba and Barragán, surrounded by dunes. On the other side is the spa resort, located in the town centre. The health benefits of its salt, iodine and bromide-rich waters, which spring up at 25ºC-47ºC, have been recognised since 1760.
