Castell d'Encús is located in an area with an excellent exposure to the sun and surrounded by a large forested area. The historical part of the estate is home to a shrine and some ancient wine presses dug out of the rock by the monks of the Hospitaller order (13th century). All this makes the place an exceptional and magical site. The winery was the first to use geothermal energy for the transfer of heat and cold in all its processes, and is designed to work by means of gravity.
