Do your holiday plans include harmony with nature in a naturist setting? If so, then Spain is a perfect destination. This is on account of its warm weather, and because there are hundred's of nudist beaches and private naturist centres available. More and more people are coming to relax on Spanish beaches devoid of all clothing. Do you fancy it?

Spain is one of the most popular European tourist destinations for naturists. Year after year, more and more people choose to enjoy this option on their holidays, making for the areas of Spanish coast where naturism has become a traditional practice. Relaxing in the sunshine, in contact with nature and without textile limitations: an attractive proposal that you can discover on Spain's magnificent beaches.

Variety of choice

In Spain there are almost 500 beaches where nudism is habitually practised. You will have the chance to sunbathe in the widest variety of settings: large, sandy beaches with all kinds of facilities, welcoming coves set between rocks, wild, untouched beaches… The excellent climate here means you can visit them at any time of year. There are also more than 40 quality private centres, with accommodation and a range of activities available with no need for clothing.

Hotels, campsites, bungalow and holiday complexes are all available. Some of these centres are fully naturist, while others only allow nudism at certain times or in certain areas. Many offer discounts for card-carrying members of the Spanish Naturist Federation (FEN) or the International Naturist Federation (INF).

Classic destinations

Forgetting about clothes altogether and feeling in harmony with your surroundings is something you can experience on many beaches up and down the Spanish coast. Nevertheless, there are destinations that are especially well known for their nudist tradition. This is the case, for example, of Vera in Almería, with more than 10,000 beds available and Costa Natura in Estepona, a complex that recreates a typical Andalusian white village on the shores of the Mediterranean; also campsites such as El Portús, in Cartagena (Murcia), the first naturist campsite that opened in Spain; the Almanat campsite in Malaga, located alongside an immense beach; or the Templo del Sol campsite in Tarragona, set in the beautiful El Torn region, considered one of the best in Europe.

In the privileged setting of the Canary Islands you will also find outstanding locations, such as Charco del Palo in Lanzarote, and Maspalomas in Gran Canaria. If spending your holidays enjoying inland countryside is more your thing, don't miss the chance to discover places like Sierra Natura in Enguera (Valencia), or El Fonoll in Tarragona, Spain's first naturist village. If you would like more information on recommended beaches and centres for naturism in Spain, then consult the practical map you will find at the FEN website (http://www.naturismo.org/).

Don't think twice - the plan sounds good: get to know like-minded people and enjoy contact with nature in complete freedom on incredible beaches. Whether you are a die-hard or an occasional naturist, or if this is your first time, then make Spain your destination. You are sure to be back for more.
