In Las Palmas de Gran Canaria you will spend restful days that will renew your energy. The temperature is nearly always pleasant and very inviting for taking walks. One place to do this is on the Las Canteras Beach, which offers four kilometres of golden sand and numerous seafront terraces where you can stop for a bite or a drink. Other excellent areas for strolling are the promenade and the marina wharf.

For relaxing, you will find several urban spas where you can replenish your strength and prepare for a leisurely afternoon of shopping. The city offers various picturesque areas, such as the high street in the Triana district. If you’re looking for handcrafted souvenirs, visit the Vegueta district, where you can also see the typical island architecture. A good place to discover this style is the “Pueblo Canario” (Canaries Village), a small courtyard with typical balconies of the islands and live folk music and theatre on Sunday mornings. In the evening, you can round off your day by going to concert at the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium.
