Spain is Europe's second most mountainous country, with a long skiing tradition, and provides all the necessary facilities for you to practise the sport. We have 34 ski resorts spread all around the country. You just have to choose which one.
From the moment the skiing season ends in spring, through to the following December, our ski resorts undergo continuous renovation, with work on lifts, pistes, infrastructure, machinery, access, accommodation and services. Investments of millions of Euros are made each year, to improve on what are already resorts of the highest quality, with respect for the environment and the natural surroundings being of paramount importance.
Resorts of all sizes
We have a wide range of winter resorts. They are equipped with excellent infrastructure, lifts, chair-lifts, and pistes to suit all levels. Spanish resorts are ideal for beginners and experienced skiers alike. Many of them are small resorts with easy runs, ideal if you want to learn as a family and make your first forays into this winter sport, whether in downhill, cross-country or Nordic skiing. Just choose the resort that suits you best. Come and try for yourself.
Snow, sun, leisure and culture
The sun in Spain shines even during the cold winter months. It is not unusual to ski with mild temperatures and bright sunshine. In addition to the good weather, we should also mention the excellent cultural and leisure activities available in Spain, with unparalleled historic/artistic heritage, a host of complementary activities that ensure fun for all, and lively nightlife at the resorts themselves with restaurants, bars and nightclubs.
The Pyrenees Mountains, with their magnificent landscapes and welcoming mountain villages; Sierra Nevada, in Andalusia, with the Granada coast just over 100 kilometres away; the resorts of the Cantabrian Mountains, and those situated in central Spain... They are all perfectly equipped, and have excellent communications, ready to welcome you year after year to practise your favourite sport.
