- The local vegetation comprises mainly oak forests. The most common fauna includes frogs, salamanders, large and small lizards, snakes, trout, eagle, birds of prey, storks, crows, hares, mice, moles, foxes, wolves, bats, wild boar, and deer. The main crops in the area are turnip greens, potatoes, corn and wheat.
