Description

This path runs around the entire region of Vizcaya following the border that separates it from Guipúzcoa, Álava, Burgos and Cantabria inland and that imposed by the Cantabrian Sea along the coast.

Its mountainous route passes through areas of great natural interest, including the mountains of Durangaldea, the Gorbeia Massif, the mountains of Karrantza (the first two are natural parks and the other a protected area) and the entire Cantabrian coastline, where the Urdaibai estuary, declared a Biosphere Reserve due to its important ecological value, is worth visiting.
