Description

The GR 97 is a path that joins the GR 5 from Sant Celoni to La Beguda Alta, from the river Tordera to the river Llobregat. It runs through the entire district of El Vallés Oriental and all of El Vallés Occidental to reach El Baix Llobregat and the district of El Alt Penedés, in La Beguda Alta.

It has a length of 113 km and can be covered in six days.All of the route is very well connected by public transport.It has two variants: the GR 97.1, which joins the GR 92, and the GR 97.2.

Itinerary

Principal:

Sant Celoni - Sant Antoni de Vilamajor - Llerona - Sant Esteve - Torre Marimon - Setmenat - Sabadell - Sant Vicenç - Sant Julià - Terrassa - Riera Gaià -Abrera - Beguda Alta.

Variante GR 97-1, GR 97:

Marata - Turó de les Tres Puntes - Santa Agnès de Malanyanes - Pla de l’Espinal GR 92. 15.2 km.

Variante GR 97-2:

Caldes de Montbui. Els Lledoners - Caldes de Montbui - Torre Marimon. 9.5 km.
