Description

It is located in the cloister of Nuestra Señora de Atocha Basilica, a Byzantine-inspired church, and contains the tombs of intellectuals such as Ríos Rosas, Cánovas del Castillo and Canalejas, amongst others. The sepulchres sculpted by Mariano Benlliure and Agustín Querol are especially interesting.

Ticket office open up to one hour before closing time for monument. Closed: 1 and 6 January, 1 May, 25 December and days of official events announced on the National Heritage website. Open until 3 p.m. on 24 and 31 December.
