The Malaga Picasso Museum introduces us to the artists of the School of London with works that reformulate the way life is represented in art.
It includes works from the post-war period to the late 20th century, which focus on human fragility and vitality. The exhibited collection features works by Francis Bacon and Lucian Freud, shown along with those of Michael Andrews, Frank Auerbach, David Bomberg, William Coldstream, R. B Kitaj, Leon Kossoff, Paula Rego and Euan Uglow. In short, painters who represented the human form and their own interpretation of landscape and daily life by providing new approaches and styles.
