The first one-man show by the Spanish photojournalist and winner of the 2013 Pulitzer prize comes to Madrid. This is a collection of powerful images on the consequences of military conflict on people.
Titled “Un día cualquiera” (An Ordinary Day), the exhibition shows snapshots of Libya, Syria, Egypt and Iraq, and the main scenes of the conflicts and revolutions that have marked the beginning of the 21st century in the Middle East. The photographer’s intention is “to give viewers information and data for analysis, to help understand these tragedies.” The work of Manu Brabo (Zaragoza, 1981) to date has focused on social conflicts in countries like Honduras, El Salvador, Haiti, Bolivia, Kosovo, Libya, Egypt, Syria, and Ukraine. His photographs have been published in leading newspapers and magazines around the world. He is a members of the international cooperative of photojournalists, MeMo.
