Valladolid

A vision of Spanish art

Through this museum, the Patio Herreriano Foundation meets its objective of promoting contemporary Spanish art.

The site of this museum is one of the Renaissance cloisters of the old San Benito monastery. The collection provides an overall view of the development of the most important artists and artistic trends in Spanish art in the 20th and 21st centuries. The collection comprises over 1,100 pieces, and features works by artists such as Esteban Vicente, Eduardo Chillida, Miquel Barceló and Antoni Tapies. Another of the museum's outstanding assets is the Ángel Ferrant collection, which includes sculptures, drawings and over 3,500 documents, and the archive of the Galería Buades.
