Nuestra Señora de las Angustias hermitage can be reached from Pilares street along a wonderful walk. The hermitage is dedicated to the patron saint of the diocese and is extremely popular. This small and popular building was built in the 17th century on top of a hermitage that once stood on the same site. Tradition dictates that the visitor should kiss the Viernes de Dolores (Friday of Pain) Madonna's cloak.
