Almeria

Its good climate and its location on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea make Almería an excellent place to hold conferences.

Almería's coastal location in south-eastern Andalusia make it an interesting destination for conventions. The railway station and the international airport, just nine kilometres from the city centre, connect it to major Spanish and European cities. Granada, Malaga and the Costa del Sol are easily reached by road. There is also a fishing harbour and a marina.

Almería is an ideal place to combine business meetings with excursions to enjoy nature. There are two nature reserves in the immediate area: the Cabo de Gata-Níjar and Sierra María-Vélez reserves are just 45 minutes away. Furthermore, the Cabo de Gata beaches, only a few kilometres away, are one of the best places in Spain for scuba diving. A spectacular and varied seabed is yours to discover.

In addition to these attractions, the city has a rich artistic and cultural heritage, ranging from the Moorish baths to its singular Gothic cathedral, built as a place of worship and as a fortress to protect the city.
