This crosses the valley from east to west along the Royal Path, on a par with the river Esgueva. The surrounding area is covered, every spring, by flocks of lucky sheep that take care of its rich pastures.
Elm trees, pines and black poplars make up the valley's vegetation, under a microclimate that emphasises the cold of winter and the heat of summer.
The banks and flat stretches of farmland of the Esgueva frame more fertile areas and in them irrigation land and the soil set the work for those living there. Wheat, barley, oats, rye, kermes oak, lavender and rosemary grow in the high mountains. In the local farms, garlic, tomatoes, onions and some fruits.Large spreads of alfalfa and beet abound throughout the valley.
The fauna is mostly made up of squirrels, cobras and numerous birds. The natural beauty of the valley is shown along the path, cutting its crumbly material on projections and drying it harmoniously on the tertiary land by the enormous denudation, the edges with erosive sides supported at tiumes on spurs of rounded limestone have been smoothed, hills forming cirques in the shape of immense anfitheatres to frame the strata, altering the mountain slopes of the Valley Esgueva.
