This is a path that sets out from the capital city of Cordoba using the old bridge over the Pedroche stream, a place formerly used to count the cattle coming from Castille along the Cañada Real Soriana or Royal Soria Cattle Track.

The path following this important cattle track entirely as it runs through the province of Cordoba.After a few km. is the chapel of La Virgen de Linares, an important place of worship where one of the two most important pilgrimages in Cordoba is held every year.The path continues through a very attractive area known as Loma de los Escalones to reach the district of Cerro Muriano among the pine trees.It is not unusual to find flocks of sheep that still use this old track.You are now in the municipality of Obejo, where there is lush scrub vegetation and holm oak.
This same landscape continues to the locality of Villaharta, 38 km. from Cordoba and where you can visit the chapel of La Virgen de la Piedad or try some of its local dishes, such as alboronía or cochiflo de coles.
The path then enters the Valley of Los Pedroches to arrive at the locality of Pozoblanco, a feudal city with over fifteen thousand inhabitants with such beautiful monuments as the Hospital of Jesús Nazareno (16th. century), among others.
The path, now on land with clearer vegetation, offers great views and heads towards the locality of Dos Torres where the monument to be visited is doubtlessly the parish church of La Asunción. A 15th century gothic church, it still preserves a fantastic altarpiece.
The last stretch of this path reaches the village of El Guijo where it meets the GR 39 to end at the chapel of La Virgen de Veredas, very close to the border with the province of Ciudad Real
