There are excellent air connections between the major Spanish cities. All flights are shorter than two hours (except to the Canary Islands).

The airline Iberia offers the so-called "air shuttle", with up to 20 flights on weekdays for which you can arrive at the airport as little as 15 minutes before departure time.
Aeroplanes are the fastest means of transport to get to the Canary Islands from the rest of Spain. All seven Canary islands have airports, and the ones in Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote and La Palma connect to various cities in the rest of Spain.
