A beach in Los Llanos de Aridane on the island of La Palma (Canary Islands)

Los Llanos de Aridane

La Palma

It is a modern town situated in the west of La Palma and surrounded by farmland.

Los Llanos de Aridane boasts beautiful coves and beaches, such as Puerto Naos and Charco Verde, which are its main tourist attractions. The town centre is also worth visiting: you can find the Church of Nuestra Señora de los Remedios, which houses a 16th century image of the Virgin, the Museum of Sacred Art (with a small exhibition of liturgical items next to the church), and the Museum on the Street, which is an interesting project in which contemporary art murals are painted on the sides of buildings in the centre.

Near the town, in the mouth of Las Angustias gorge, you can find another interesting building – Las Angustias Shrine. It was built in the 16th century and houses a Flemish carved figure of the Virgin.
