This museum is located in the former Cardenal Tavera Hospital, a 16th-century building.
The building's Renaissance façade is especially worthy of note. Inside is the marble sepulchre of Cardinal Tavera, the work of Alonso Berruguete. On display in the museum are paintings by El Greco and other masters, such as Rivera, Berruguete, Tintoretto, Titian, etc. There are also tapestries, furniture and luxury objects. Its famous pharmacy has an extensive collection of ceramic containers and bottles from Talavera and Puente del Arzobispo.
