History and art
The museum contains a display of the archaeological wealth of this province in the Castile-León Region.
The museum is housed in the Casa del Cordón, a 16th-century Renaissance-style building. Inside it contains numerous items dating from prehistoric times through to the Middle Ages, as well as a large quantity of remains from the Roman period. Highlights include the collection of Celitiberian objects found at the Monte Bernorio, Tariego and Palenzuela excavations.
