A symbolic work by César Manrique
In the centre of the island of Lanzarote you will find the farm worker’s House-Museum created by Canary Islands sculptor and architect César Manrique.
The museum is a real tribute to traditional architecture and inside it you can see a range of objects and tools related to the culture of Lanzarote and agriculture. Outside this House-Museum you will also find the so-called “Monument to Fertility”, a sculpture dedicated to the island’s farm workers, outstanding for its impressive geometrical forms. What is more, in other adjacent buildings there are folk exhibitions, craft produce on sale, craft workshops…
