It is housed in a neoclassical palace, and contains an important collection of sacred items.
The museum features an outstanding array of painting, sculpture, textiles, goldwork, manuscripts, archaeology and altarpieces. Highlights include works by major artists such as the Annunciation by El Greco and the Inmaculada by Zurbarán.
