Álava and the city of Vitoria
The museum is distributed over three floors, with items from the Palaeolithic era, the Iron Age, the Roman world, and and an extensive selection from medieval Vitoria - the city was founded during this long period. It also has an unusual exhibition of funeral steles in the gardens. There is a specialised library, and the museum also organises the archaeological programmes taking place in the province of Álava.
