Mozarab church.
In the courtyard of the larger of the buildings making up the old monastery, the church of Santa María de Melque was built.
It has always been considered a Mozarab-style church from the 9th century, but the most recent studies show it formed part of an old Visigothic monastery, which had 2 enclosed areas with an interior courtyard in each of them.
