The monastery is located next to the Fuencisla shrine. This is the burial place of Saint John of the Cross
The church has a single nave with lateral chapels. The mausoleum of Saint John of the Cross is located in the chapel on the Gospel side. It is a bronze and marble construction. There is also an interesting painting by José García Hidalgo.
