The church was built in the 7th century. It formed part of a convent dedicated to Santa Comba, which was abandoned in the 9th century. The church is small and of Greek cross plan with a flat apse. In the transept you find raised horseshoe arches. The brick barrel vaults rest on these. The base of the dome is a raised vault. A triumphal arch gives way to the main chapel. It is supported on two pairs of columns with Roman and Visigothic capitals. Inside is the tomb of San Torcuato.
