This is one of the most elegant examples of the civil Romanesque style on the Way of Saint James. Its distinctive features are its grace and sobriety. It has 7 semicircular arches of which the easternmost one is below ground, and is 110 m long. There are smaller arches between the main arches, forming openings which make the structure lighter and allow the water to flow through when the river swells.
